Ghini's French Caffe
(TUCSON, Ariz.) — Coralie “Chef Ghini” Satta, owner and executive chef at Ghini’s French Caffe, has been Chef/Owner of Ghini's French Caffe since inception 1992.
Satta developed her love of cooking while helping her grandmother in France at the tender age of two. Eventually her culinary talent paved the way to work with famed Chef Piro in Marseille where she perfected her skills. However, the “farm-to-table” practices – using fresh, local ingredients and preparing everything from scratch, ingrained in her early years in France, has been the hallmark at Ghini’s French Caffe since 1992. Sourcing the freshest, local ingredients is a priority for Chef Ghini.
“Food is my passion and being a restaurateur allows me to connect with the Tucson community in a very meaningful and stay true to my commitment to support local suppliers” , said Satta. “I consider myself very fortunate to do what I love and help make Tucson a better place.”
Chef Ghini, widely known for her inspired French cuisine, strives to keep the menu at Ghini’s French Caffe simple and fresh. Chef Ghini enjoys Mediterranean style cooking and introduces interesting wine pairings at the “Friday and Saturday Night Bistro” when every bottle of wine is discounted and has become hugely popular with Tucson “foodies”. Along with a carefully chosen selection of boutique wine and beer list, Chef Ghini has perfected delicate dishes such as Escargots a la Bourguignonne, Warm Double Cream Brie & Grapes with Salted Caramel or Rosemary Lamb Sliders. However, most regular patrons will smile knowingly when asked about Ghini’s signature dish, Ghini’s Eggs Provencale which is a perennial favorite any time of day.
Chef Ghini is passionate about the Tucson community. She is a long time member of Tucson Originals Restaurants, developed a culinary arts program for the Boys and Girls Clubs of Tucson, mentors Junior Achievement groups and teaches culinary classes at various charter schools throughout the year. Chef Ghini is a long time supporter of the Humane Society of Southern Arizona. The misted patio at Ghini’s has welcomed four-legged friends since day one but now at Ghini’s has been designated as the first official “pet-friendly” patio by Pima County Department of Health Department.
